CycloneCenter Participation for July 2014
Well, June was a tough month to follow. While July saw a drop in numbers, we did have a lot of new names in the top 10.
In July, mcrisalli1 earned the Baja award with 1214 classifications. Also, there is a challenge on the Bretarn board for the top spot.
For July 2014, we had 4732 classifications of 237 storms from 250 citizen scientists.
Stay informed through our blog, Facebook and twitter because we’ll be announcing a new campaign soon to accomplish something exciting!
Thank you to all for making CycloneCenter.org a great success!!

Postscript
As the summer comes to a close, be sure to tell your friends about cyclonecenter.org. Please help us finish these 2005 storms because Kulab, Nesat, Roke and Sonca need your help.
I am wondering if there’s a bug. When I choose the image that looks like the stronger storm, if I choose the right side image, the next frame brings up that right-side image for classification. But if I choose the left side image as stronger, the next frame brings up the right side image instead. I’d live to continue classifying, but it think you’re getting erroneous data.
Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Or is this really what you intended?
No, you are fine. The image on the right will always be the image that you will classify, regardless if it is stronger or weaker than the one on the left. -Chris
why when some storms are only 20% analyzed do I get the message: this storm is out of subjects?
Thomas, this means that you have classified every image of the storm. You are not allowed to classify more than once per image, so you should choose another storm. We need other classifiers to finish the remaining 80% of the storm. Thanks for contributing! -Chris
